We all know you can sometimes feel like your suffering through your marriage. It can become lonely and isolating due to not sharing what your feeling with those around you.
If I can be honest with you, our marriage has been tested and I must tell you, these are the times I’ve heard from God the most. These are the times when he has been the loudest and given me signs to stay the course.
I’m here to encourage you, to let you know you can fight for your marriage. We ” can do all things through Christ who strengthens us”!

It’s amazing to think you can go from being in pure bliss to feeling like every conversation with your spouse is a miss. To being petty just because, to feeling angry no matter what the subject and to not caring about the person you vowed to love.
We learn from the word ” The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 New International Version
Whew, this verse always hits me in the face as it makes me wonder if I’m doing enough. It’s the “those who love it that will eat its fruits” part that stands out for me. Being in a marriage means loving God more than the world we live in and eating the fruit of both the word and the holy spirit to gain power for the journey.
Come on somebody!!!!!! This is not easy as you rely on another person to uphold these same standards and be on one accord with you daily.
Can God Fix A Broken Marriage?
Yes, God can give you the tools to fix anything that is in his will to restore. (catch that)
He left us with the footsteps of Jesus Christ to follow for that reason. Letting us know in the word that we would fall and he would pick us back up.
God, also gave us Bible verses to carry with us because our flesh is weak. It’s easy to respond in love with the word written on your heart.
How Do I Pray For My Marriage To Be Restored?

5 strong scriptures to pray on marriage restoration
Matthew 19:6 ESV
“So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
What is closer than one flesh? Nothing. To get this close two people must communicate on a level that’s almost spiritual, right? I love how God brings everything back to his spirit and truth. The holy spirit will have two become one flesh.
1 Peter 5:10 ESV /
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
No matter what the obstacles, God can restore your marriage from all things. He can change all things, adultery, mean arguments, health issues, trust issues for your good.
Romans 12:12 ESV /
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
BE CONSTANT IN PRAYER! No matter what you’re doing or what you might be dealing with be constant in prayer. This is what changed the game for me. As long as I was giving my heart to the father and immersing myself in prayer and worship I couldn’t stay in the negative space.
1 John 1:9 ESV /
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Knowing there are two people in the marriage making decisions and affecting how the marriage works. In the midst of our brokenness, I had to note what I was bringing and how I wanted my marriage to go.
Malachi 2:15 ESV /
“Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth.”
God, covets the family structure. Knowing that husbands and wives will grow children that look for God’s kingdom and will spread the word of the lord. Showing God loves to those that need it the most.

First off I want to praise God for leading me to your awesome website. I could’ve grab my Bible to search for the scriptures about marriage restoration but due to technology I used google LOL. I am an author and currently working on a anthology book project. The subtitle for the book is (the set back for the come back) and I using some scriptures from the bible to insert into my chapter. A few years ago my marriage went through some major set backs not one but two separation and almost divorce but through it all I grab onto God without letting Him go! We’ve been married for 23 years!
